The GIOGO Girls=Get IN!!

I first got put on to the GIOGO girls this past Friday on Miss Omni Media’s Women Making history segment. The fashion forward duo Tiana Brown and Julianne Waters give their in’s and out’s on the latest trends. One of my favorite videos from them is the Nail Show edition(so Obvi lol). Here’s their take on the in’s and out’s of nail art……

Now I have to disagree with the long square nails. Even though the trend right now is the oval/ “stiletto” nail , every once in a awhile I like to go back into my square roots and get long and hood with it. I will agree with the tacky pink/white french manicure. That look screams Cinemax soft core porn. Lord knows I love kicks! I have from Nike to Adidas and from Vans to Keep sneakers. I have more kicks  than I do heels (which is something I need to work on lol) But every now an than I have a love for the luxury sneaker. These Isabel Marant Sneakers are the perfect way to mix high fashion and causal without being tacky.

I’ve been tatted!

For those if you who have followed me on twitter, you’ve probably seen it already but last week with my good friends Chandra, Dan Dan and I all got tatted! Chandra put me on to this free event sponsored by Sailor Jerry Rum who were giving out free tattoos to the first 101st people to commemorate Sailor Jerry’s 101 b-day. You got to choose up to 18 different Sailor Jerry designs and you also got a free drink after you got your tat. This event was held in NYC, Chicago and New Orleans. Being that I haven’t gotten a tat in 5yrs and it was both Chandra and Dan Dan’s first tat, this was a perfect opportunity to get one and to bond with the homies! Check it……

Even though it hurt a little, It felt good getting tatted! Can’t wait for more ink!
