Why I dislike professional sports

Most of the people that know me, know that I do not like sports. To me they’re boring (with the exception of boxing) but its not the boring part that bugs me, its  the politics behind it. If you watch the Internet Celebrities Stadium status documentary you will see why I dislike sports.

Here in NYC Shea and Yankee stadiums have  gotten a make over. A BILLION dollar makeover with taxpayer ( MY) money to be exact. Mind you  mayor Doomsberg aka Bloomberg keeps stating that “we’re broke” and continues to layoff teachers,cut public assistance and end programs that would help our city’s economy.  But yet we got new stadiums on the taxpayers dime.  Some say the players wanted a new stadium, if that was the case have the league pay for it not me. I don’t even fuck with you guys so why would I care about your needs.  But we all know who is really behind this corruption.  *ahem The Rich ahem*.  Hell,when you have the rich & greedy take over they can take away your home just to put a stadium for a shitty losing team there. Just ask the people who lived in Downtown Brooklyn.

I feel bad for sports fans. With these new stadiums comes high ass prices. I don’t know about you but I’m not spending no $400 to see a bunch of dudes swing a ball and run around a field that stay losing! Hell I would spend that if they were a winning team! Why should sports fans have to shell out that kind of money when their taxpaying dollars helped build those stadiums? If anything Sports fans should be watching those games for free!  Another reason why I dislike sports all these lazy crybaby athletes! You make 70 mill a year, your team sucks, you don’t win shit and you do criminal activities, Why the hell is my money going to you?!! Most of these athletes don’t even try everything is handed to them yet they fuck up. I have NO respect for people like that NONE what so ever!  Overpaying these weak athletes and building bullshit new stadiums  makes you wonder where our money goes when you have to pay taxes. Apparently its not going into what its supposed to like schools,parks, hospitals etc. Because of these fucked up priorities,  we as taxpayers should choose where our money should go. I don’t want the big ass chunks of my money that you take out to go to no damn stadium! Put my money into schools, creating jobs and to stop homelessness.  Taxpayers dollars are supposed to be used to build better communities a not to keep the rich richer. So in conclusion, I can get down with sports because of these fucked up politics hanging over its head. I can’t root for the home team when the home team is robbing my ass blind! Until things change you will never see me at a baseball stadium,The garden or even watch that shit on my TV.

Rant: Ah yes, its Trade show time

Yes its that time of the year again, a month before fashion week, its Trade show time. Usually I would make it my duty to go but this year not so much. The last trade show I went to was at Capsule back in the winter of 2010 and that was a bore. All the brands there acted like they were too damn cool to talk to you and their collections were nothing to write home about. I’m sorry but how many times are you going to include oxfords, plaid and khaki into your wardrobe? These particular types of trade show’s like Capsule and Agenda are some streetwear brands way of showing the world that they are not streetwear that they are an actual fashion house. Um hate to break it to you boo but no! Just because you have some rapper where your shit and you throw parties in L.E.S. and get one write up in some indie hipster magazine does NOT make you a fashion house let alone cool. And may I also remind you the purpose of these trade shows  is to attract buyers and to get press. Sitting at your booth playing with your blackberry acting like you have some place better to be will not help you.  It’s like this If I walk into your store and you treat me like shit, what makes you think I’m gonna shop there? Same thing with trade shows, If you treat bloggers and buyers like shit, what makes you think someone wants to buy your clothes for their store or give you free press? Some of these obnoxious brands wonder why their shit isn’t Barney’s SMH  Barney’s don’t want you! Its actual talented designers that they want not some indie piece of shit designers who makes “we’ve all seen this shit before” cut and sewn pieces. In order for me to start doing more press work again I’m gonna need to for brands to have less attitude and more creativity thanks!

Self Realization: I’m over it!

So after last night’s fashion night out, I came to the realization that I’m just over it! I’m over the elitist,hipster/yuppie ass nightlife here in NYC! I’m just fucking over it! I’m tired of all these wannabe assholes here ruining my city and making the atmosphere just negative! Now I see why some of my friends in the entertainment/fashion industry are leaving it be. As most of my friends who use to come with me to all these events are now trying to settle down and start families, I’ve decided that I’m gonna settle down too. And no I’m not talking marriage and kids, I’m just talking settling down with my lifestyle. From now on I’m going to fallback with all of these “I’m so cool” bullshit ass events and just start going to shit that I like and am interested in. Which means no more fashion night out or any snooty dry ass events. It’s time to for me to make myself happy and just live my life without “hype” in it.

Here is a fact for those who don’t me that well, I HATE HATE flakes!! If I go out my way to make something happen for you when you needed it and didn’t follow through, be prepared for a not so nice side of me! Don’t waste my time if you ain’t really down! You have been warned!!

What I want: Asymmetrical bob

If you watch the Real Housewives of NJ, then you all have seen “Kim D”. I don’t like her but what I do like is her asymmetrical bob. As you know, I cut my hair back in Dec and for the past 8 months I’ve missed my medium length tresses. I don’t want my my hair past my back but I definitely don’t want it short again so I figured the best medium would be the asymmetrical bob. I haven’t rocked one since 06 and as this point I really miss it lol.

Feel Good Friday

This week I finally admitted to myself and others that I have issues lol. I never really like to tell people my business but I actually felt some relief after explaining where some of my issues stem from and how they have created some bad habits. Its going to be a long process in trying to fix some things about myself but in the end I know this will benefit me. I am soo Punk Rock…

I see mainstream artists are channeling their inner Punk Rock now. Which may work for some but not for others, it’s either you have it or you don’t. For example, We have singer/model Cassie. There is no denying that she is a very attractive female but this look does not fit her at all. It’s obvious that she is trying way to hard to fit into something that everyone seems to be doing which is being “edgy”.  Fuck all this “edgy” crap!! Having style either comes natural to you or you have to follow  to get it.
